Gnosall Freemasons give generous donation to new library project

The Gnosall St Lawrence Freemasons Lodge recently gave financial support to the GLEAN Hub group to help with their charity’s efforts to provide a new library building to be run and staffed by volunteers.

Chairman of GLEAN Hub,Robert Alker, said ‘This cheque of £200 from our local Freemasons is greatly appreciated. The trustees of GLEAN Hub know how eagerly the community is awaiting the new library building. This generous donation will help our plans become a reality.’

Gnosall currently has no permanent library provision since the demolition in 2015 of the previous library which was situated within St Lawrence Primary School. GLEAN stands for Gnosall Library Environment and Nurture. Gnosall Parish Council and others also provide the group with support.

If you wish to contact GLEAN,perhaps to offer your services as a volunteer,or provide funding for this excellent cause, please email the group at To keep in touch with progress, please look at the website
