Kindertransport –By Lester Stuart

Thursday 15th March 2018

Kindertransport (Children’s Transport) was the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940.

Lester’s talk is about the trials of two families living under the Nazis as ordinary Jewish or part-Jewish families and is based mostly on the stories as told by his parents plus some record office research in Germany.
