Gnosall Jambusters

It is that time of year again…. Carnival Fever is upon us!!! I know many of our group are involved in this annual event,by the time you read this it will have been and gone. Jambusters will have sold out on the cake stall and lots of happy memories will have been created at this happy village event!!

Unfortunately I will have missed it this year, the first time for twenty years as I shall be on holiday,I’m sure it will have been wonderful!! Jambusters have many jaunts organized for our group over the next few months,a visit to Dorothy Clive Gardens with a cream tea ….of course!!

In October a group will travel to London to enjoy a guided tour of The Houses of Parliament,a small group will meet Mary Queen of Scotts at Tutbury Castle,so lots to look forward to!

Our June speaker Ruth Wright gave us an insight into needle felting, its origins and a vast array of creations made by Ruth for us to look at using the wool from different breeds of English sheep.

In July we have Miss Pitchy Patchy coming along to inspire us to Make Do and Mend in the twenty first century, that should be fun in this throw away world .!!!

Don’t forget we have a little competition for you this month to bring along an item you have made by using materials that would otherwise have been thrown away!! See you there!
